This Privacy Policy explains how FoodWhisp (operated by DevWhisp) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, restaurant dashboard, and mobile app.

Restaurants operate their own storefronts on our platform. When you order from a restaurant, that restaurant also receives order details needed to fulfill your request. FoodWhisp is the software provider; restaurants are independent controllers of the customer data they need for orders.

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

• Account details: name, email, password (hashed), city (mobile customers), and role (restaurant owner or customer).
• Restaurant business details: store name, contact info, address, hours, menu, deals, delivery settings, and site content you publish.
• Order details: items, quantities, customer name/phone/notes, delivery or pickup preferences, and order status.
• Billing details: subscription and payment metadata processed by our payment provider (e.g. Safepay). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Technical data: device/app info, IP address, logs, and cookies or similar technologies needed for security and basic analytics.

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the platform (accounts, sites, menus, orders, notifications).
• Process subscriptions and domain-related purchases.
• Send transactional emails (verification codes, password resets, order-related notices where configured).
• Detect abuse, secure accounts, and comply with legal obligations.

We share information only as needed to run the service: with restaurants when a customer places an order on that restaurant’s site or via the app; with payment processors and infrastructure providers (hosting, email, DNS) under appropriate agreements; and when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell your personal information.

We retain account and order records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting requirements. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

You may update profile information in your account settings, request account deletion by contacting support, and unsubscribe from non-essential marketing if we send any. Verification and security emails remain transactional.

FoodWhisp is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the service means you acknowledge the updated policy.
